Audition Monologue: Total Commitment

There is one thing I am deadly earnest and that is Jesus Christ. He is my life, my business, my holiness, my hobby, my sweetheart, my husband, my wife, my bread and my meat! I wish to please him in the daytime and dream of his cause at night. His hold on me grows, not lessens as time goes on. Therefore I cannot carry on an unholy conversation, a friendship, a love affair, without relating it to my Jesus who drives and guide my life. I evaluate people, books, ideas, and actions according to how they affect the cause of my spiritual life. I pledge allegiance of total commitment to Jesus Christ and to always be faithful as a soldier in the army of the living God.

Audition Monologue: Testimony

A man came running by me from the direction of Chariot of Fire, and he would have been traveling from the East to the Northwest, and he came across in front of me, and he had in one hand a lever action rifle, he came close to me, close enough to me to see that the hammer was back on the rifle. He went toward the vehicle that was parked on Second Avenue. And then cut back, or walked back toward the East, kind of a trot, and tried to go round the front of the vehicle toward where the main scrimmage was taking place on Second Avenue and the field just to the North of Second Avenue. Then he turned around and came back by me. At that time he came back by me and he was going South. And he circled around from the South toward the West and I yelled to him to drop the rifle, when he turned back toward me. I was backing up that time, I was trying to get away from him. I was backing from the South to the North, I was backing back toward Second Avenue. I wanted to get away from that man. But he turned and came toward me and he lifted the rifle up and at that time, my rifle came up from the hip where I kept it. I just raised it slightly. I could not sight the rifle, I did not have a scope on it. Or I did have a scope on it, I did not have open sights. And I fired at the man. I think three shots, but I’m not sure. I could have fired only three at him through the whole time, at any rate, he fell backwards and he fell down.

Audition Monologue: To Whom It May Concern

We, the people of Miracle Valley, are tired of everyone trying to tell us what is wrong in Miracle Valley, i.e. some say race, some say religion, some both. We know what is wrong in Miracle Valley because we live here and we thank all of you that are concerned, but - BUTT OUT. Jesse Jackson, lawyers from Illinois who have no jurisdiction in Arizona, ministers, whether white or black, we will take your prayers, but leave the rest alone.

We have had numerous press conferences to get the truth out, but so far it hasn’t worked. Mrs Thomas says they are afraid to come back to Miracle Valley. She does not say why, but we know. When and if she comes back, most of her people will end up in jail and there are other arrests to make of those involved in the shoot-out. Also, there are those of her people who broke bond by leaving the state of Arizona without permission. That, my friends, is a felony, no matter how you look at it. There are photos to prove their guilt (her people) and they have been caught red-handed doing what they do best...breaking the law and inciting riots.

And yet, they still plead not guilty. They are fooling a few people and those of you who are trying to defend Mrs. Thomas and her people are going to end up losing everything you worked so hard for. is it worth it? You will see in the end. Truth always wins.

Audition Monologue: The "Commando Pledge"

I am a Commando for Christ. I serve in the force of Holiness which guard the Saint’s and God’s valley and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

I will never surrender of my own free will to any enemy or devil. If in command, I will never surrender my brethren while they still have the means to resist.

If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.

If I become prisoner of this war, I will keep the faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information nor take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way.
When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am not bound to give any information. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my god and my allies or harmful to their cause.

I will never forget that I am a Commando for Christ, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made the valley. I will trust in my God and His place of refuge, Miracle Valley.
